About

Lacrosse for every kid in the Triad

Triad Youth Lacrosse Association is a volunteer-run league bringing boys' and girls' lacrosse to Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, and beyond. Since 1991 we've given thousands of kids their first ground ball, first goal, and first team.

We honor the history of the game, teach good sportsmanship, and put fundamentals and fun first — K–8, every skill level. Every TYLA team is led by volunteer coaches; want to help? We'll train you, no lacrosse experience required.

Questions

What equipment does my player need?
New players need cleats and a mouthguard to start — loaner sticks and gear are available so you can try the sport before investing. We'll point you to affordable gear once teams form.
My child has never played. Is that okay?
Absolutely — most of our players started brand new. Coaches group drills by experience, and the program is built around fundamentals and fun.
Where are practices and games?
Weekly practices are at convenient Greensboro locations. Spring games are at PCLA partner sites across Guilford, Forsyth, Davidson, Davie, and Alamance counties.
What does registration cost?
Each season's fee is on its registration page and includes a team jersey. Loaner gear and fee assistance are available — no kid sits out for cost.
What are evaluations?
Low-pressure sessions before the season. Coaches use them to build balanced teams, not to cut players — everyone who registers gets a team.
